My Bangkok-Krabi Getaway!

(Warning: This post might make you very hungry)

We woke up at 345am to prepare ourselves and took a cab down to the Budget terminal for our 430am check in. I was surprised that the queue was horribly long when we reach at about 5am. After checking in, we had a simple breakfast at Hans... ...

Actually the budget terminal exceeded my expectation. It is not budget to the extend of giving people the feeling of "cheap", its just not as lavish as our T1-3.

Both of us knock out upon taking off. ZzzZZzzzz

And soon we step foot on the land of Bkk, took a cab from the airport to our hotel for 300+ baht.
Our room was not ready 'coz we reached too early, so we proceed to Indra for our brunch.

Seafood noodle soup for me, he had mixed veg rice but I don't have pictures of it. Cost us less than 100b. We proceed to Blank Canyon coffee for our Frap and Wings. Shiok!

Woo!!! Our room ready. Oh. That bed looks so comfortable right?

There's a walk in wardrobe behind. I love this bigbig room!
Justo for fun, My itchy fingers click on the "take note that travellers are honeymooners" option when I was booking my room. I thought there won't be anything special but they prove me wrong. They sprinkled flower petals on our bed, basin & bathtub. In addition, they had complimentary cake and fruit platter sent to our room.

Haha... The both of us were so tired that we head directly into the comfy bed after washing up, unlike many others who might just throw their luggage one side and zoom out to shop.
We watched a movie about Vampire Bats on HBO (so slack), before heading out to shop. I think we spend alot at the wholesale place. Since its cheap if we buy in bulk.

At our dinner place. We chose the 2nd floor 'coz we get to sit on the floor the jap style. Haha...

1) Shark Fin soup
300B
A MUST!!!

2) BBQ Big Prawns
150B

If you like the Heads, this is another Must.

3) Kangkong

50 or 80B

The nicest Veg, I feel.

4) Crabmeat fried rice

Forgot the price.

So so only.

5) BBQ Squid

100 or 150b

I love this! Esp. with their homemade Thai sour chilli sauce.

6) Oyster Egg on Hotplate.

Forgotten the price

Generous supply of Oysters. I think the wet version is nicer, this is too dry & crispy.

7) Prawn Tunghoon

There's some herby taste in the Tunghoon, worth a Try.

I bought 4 bowls of Bird nest back to the hotel for dessert but no pictures for it.

We went back to our hotel area to walk around since there's alot of street stalls at the night market. We bought quite alot from the wholesale place, so didn't want to spend much that night. In addition, it started to rain like cats and dogs.

Bought tomyum cup noodles, Mac nuggets and soyabean for supper 'coz we had early dinner. Actually it was him who was hungry, I'm still in the process of digesting the seafood feast I had earlier on.

The next day... ...

It was Platinum for sure! Spent so much till I lost count. Baby hated this mall, 'coz its a place where all girls cannot escape from. And he had to be there to accompany me shop and carry all my price loots.

Hongie will love this, a shop full of hello kitty, melody, whatever pinky stuff. If I haven't buy a mobile cage for Softy&Sherby, I'll definitely get one from here.

Long Lost love.

A&W

Rootbeer float, CURLY fries, Fried chicken!!!!

MBK next, but didn't have much to buy 'coz the price there is often overpriced and I've bought most of the stuff I wanted to get. We had ShabuShabu buffet dinner, had to finish within 1h 15min, its the rule there, if not pay extra.

Nightfall... ...

Went up to the highest floor of our hotel for the nightview of the Land of lights.

3rd day... ...

The Man U couple. Soccer is a international language. Even though the locals can only speak simple english, they will still come to me and say " I like Man U", "Man U good".

Baskin Robins to satisfy my crave for Ice cream.

Their Rum & Raisin, Cookies&cream rocks!

Oh. This part is weird. A local uncle approached us suddenly, while we were making our way back to the hotel to pick up our luggage. In short, he introduced us to this Lucky Buddha temple which only open once a month. It'll bless us with good health, wealth, luck etc...

I don't know what's wrong with baby, he just said ok. And that very kind man, whose intentions were unknown to us, got us a TukTuk, instucted him and off we go.

This is my 1st time and definitely the last time. Its super hot and really dangerous, I'm really scared. Luckily this driver really did what he was told, sent us to the temple and sent us back to our hotel on time. Only 20B :D

ZoomZoom. Off we go to Krabi on Airasia domestic flight.

The Cliff Ao Nang resort voted top 50 Thailand resorts, attached to the room is an outdoor bathroom whereby you'll be surrounded by leaves and flower while washing up.

It was already dinner time when we reach Krabi, we explored the area along the streets of our resort and settled for a family restaurant. I think each dish is 50B. Damn cheap!

The next day... ...

Breakfast sent to our doorstep, we just had to order what we want the night before and TADA!

Phad Thai and Seafood porridge, with fruit juice, fruits and bread.

A good decision made at the wrong season.

We went for the Phi Phi island tour. It took us 45mins to reach the various small islands. We were on this speedboat with 18 other tourist mostly Malaysians and a few Angmohs. And it RAINED, it was a rough 45mins.

I got so sick after about 40mins, tried so hard to rest and hold my breakfast but I failed. Vomited twice on the speedboat. Yucks! Hate vomitting.

1st Stop: Bamboo Island ( It rained and I was still feeling sick, so not many pictures)

The 2nd stop: Open sea snorkelling

Baby being really Daring, went for it. I was scared and pale so I stayed to take pictures for him. He saw many small fishes just like Nemo and had a very clear view of the corals on the seabed.

3rd stop: Lunch place

I vomitted the 3rd time upon reaching, which means I didn't have the appetite to take my lunch. Anyway lunch sucks. Haha...

After lunch

Beautiful!

Viking cave. It used to be open to public but ever since people starts to live there for the extraction of bird's nest, they forbid entry of tourist.

Isn't this one of the scenes you see in Hollywood movies? Pirates of the carribean?

My turn to snorkle. I broke my promises to my mum. I was not supposed to be on the boat and swim 'coz its the Chinese 7th Month.

But the water is really irresistable.

I miss that feeling. Blue sky, clear blue-greenish water...

The ride back to Krabi was horrifying. It was even more bumpier than the ride to Phi Phi island. Sea water keeps splashing into the boat, onto our face, while cold air keep blowing. The waves were so big that it feels like a roller coaster ride, my heart goes up when we hit the waves and down when the boat comes down.

Deep down inside, I really wonder if we can be back to Krabi. We were shivering so hard. Baby keep talking into my ears, telling me that we're reaching soon. At that point in time I really thought we're reaching 'coz I can't open my eyes at all. Well, it took us more than 45mins, I thank god in my heart for bringing us back safely.

Bath with hot water but our hands and feet still feel icy cold. In the end, we had to wrap ourselves in the thick comforter without switching on the aircon to feel a least bit of warmth.

Dinner!

Beef in Thai Curry, Curry powder flower crab and grilled chicken drumstick.

Last day... ...

Hearty breakfast before making our way to the airport.

Reached Bkk after an hour flight, drop our luggage at the counter and we cab to the same place for early dinner before flying back home.

I miss the Fish Maw soup.

He can't have enough of the Prawns, so we ordered 5 additional big head prawns to satify his gigantic appetite.

Waiting for our flight home.

Black canyon coffee again.

Finally I'm done with blogging about my short getaway.

Yeah. I wanna go back to Krabi for more. I wanna try river rafting, elephant trekking and many other exciting one day tour.

:)
